Friday & Saturday-only starting May 23rd through Nov 1st. Additional dates may be added for peak leaf season in October.
LATE SEASON TRIPS: Starting on Oct 17th through Nov 1st, our late season fall schedule will begin. At that time, on Friday and Saturday, the SALAMANDER will be shortened to a 6.5-hour round trip, traveling from Elkins to Cheat Bridge and return on the following schedule and rates:
Depart Elkins: 10:40AM: Return at 5:15PM
6.5-Hour Ticket Prices: Adult-$58, Senior-$56, Child (4-11)-$50. Price includes sandwich buffet and beverages served in the Red Spruce dining car.
NOTE: A three-hour ride departing at 2:15PM from Cheat Bridge to Spruce and return is also available on the above schedule.
Three-Hour Ride Ticket Prices: Adult-$34, Senior-$32, Child (4-11)-$24. Price includes cold sandwich buffet and beverages served en-route.

Parlor Car Service - Our deluxe Pullman Palace car features an all-you-care-to-eat lunch buffet and includes a special dessert spread set up on the return trip. Seating is in Cushioned Arm Chairs and this car features excellent viewing opportunities from the rear of the train.

Ticket offices, located in Belington and Elkins, are open 45 minutes prior to departure.
Walk-ons accepted on a first-come, first-served basis
Elkins boarding area is located at the Depot on 315 Railroad Avenue in the Downtown area.
Belington boarding area is located one-half block West of US Route 250 in the center of town.
Group Seating- Every effort will be made to seat groups as close together as possible on the train. Some of our cars have table seating that works better for groups. Please let us know your needs prior to boarding.
